  "abstract": "Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of organ donation and its impact through an educational intervention.\n\nMethods: This quasi-experimental pre–post study was conducted on students attending regular classes in medical and non-medical colleges in a South Asian peninsular city. The students were asked to fill in online forms shared through social media applications containing questions about organ donation as a pre-intervention assessment. Subsequently, a session on organ donation was conducted. Post-intervention forms were then shared and data were collected. The questions were based on three domains: knowledge, attitude, and perception of organ donation. Data were collected from 220 medical and 220 non-medical students.\n\nResults: A total of 276 females and 164 males participated in the study. The average age of the participants was 19.4+1.5 years. Knowledge of the organizations involved and the regulation of organ donation improved significantly post-intervention. Knowledge about the costs involved in donation, the role of clinicians in organ donation, and the types of organs that can be donated can be improved. Attitudes assessed using binary and Likert scale-based questions statistically improved post-intervention among non-medical students. Both medical and non-medical participants felt motivated to pledge their organs post-intervention. The perception of donations as sinful act changed after the intervention.\n\nConclusion: Our study found an improvement in the knowledge, attitude, and perception of students regarding organ donation after educational intervention. Organ donation awareness campaigns should be conducted to enhance knowledge, clear misconceptions, and motivate people. Organ donations can be increased if people are sensitized through educational programs.",
