"abstract": "Background\n\nTumor hospitals face intensive radiation equipment, large radiation worker groups, and inefficient paper-based radiation safety management. Suitable and targeted informatization solutions are lacking in Southwest China.Methods\n\nBased on a tertiary tumor hospital in Southwest China, we designed, implemented, and evaluated a full-process informatized radiation safety management system with requirement analysis, functional module design, and real-world application assessment.Results\n\nAfter system implementation, the personal dose monitoring rate increased from 95% to 99%, training completion rate rose from 70% to 99%, occupational health examination implementation rate improved from 80% to 90%, and new project approval time was shortened from a typical range of 30-60 days to approximately 15 days.Conclusion\n\nThis informatics-driven proactive radiation safety model improved institutional management efficiency, standardization, and risk control. It offers a replicable scheme for regional radiation protection informatization and public health security.Trial registration\n\nNot applicable.",
