"abstract": "Background: Critical care nurses (CCNs) are often the first responders in emergencies and require high levels of clinical skill, confidence, and psychological preparedness. Postcode stress, limited experience, and skill deterioration can lower self-confidence and motivation. Objective: To assess the effect of mobile micro-learning on critical care nurses' knowledge acquisition, self-confidence, motivation, and stress related to CPR. Design: A quasi-experimental design was used in this study. Setting(s): Three intensive care units (ICUs) of a government hospital affiliated with Damanhour government. Participants: A convenience sample of 100 CCNs. Tools for data collection: Four tools were used: Nurses' Knowledge Acquisition Questionnaire, the Self-Confidence Scale (SCS), the CPR Motivation Scale (CPRMS), and the adopted Post-Code Stress Scale. Results: The mean knowledge score increased from 12.78 ± 1.76 before the intervention to 22.10 ± 1.31 immediately after the intervention, and remained higher at one week (20.91 ± 1.18) and one month (19.93 ± 1.51). CCNs showed a highly statistically significant decrease in post-code stress levels (η² = 0.665), along with increases in self-confidence (η² = 0.612) and motivation (η² = 0.726), with large effect sizes across the three time points. Age and years of experience were negatively associated with post-code stress immediately after the intervention (r = −0.706, p < 0.001), and this inverse relationship continued at one week (r = −0.342, p = 0.001) and one month (r = −0.640, p < 0.001). Conclusions: Motivation and self-confidence among CCNs increased after following the mobile micro-learning intervention, along with a decrease in post-CPR stress. These results indicate that mobile micro-learning is an effective approach to improving both psychological preparedness and performance-related outcomes in cardiopulmonary resuscitation practice.",
