"abstract": "The Saturnian rings are continuously bombarded by interplanetary dust, which delivers exogenic material, generates impact ejecta, and contributes to the dynamical and compositional evolution of the rings. Recent Cassini Cosmic Dust Analyzer (CDA) measurements indicate a micrometeoroid mass flux of 6.9 × 10 ⁻¹⁷ to 2.7 × 10 ⁻¹⁶ kg m ⁻² s ⁻¹ near Saturn and provide constraints on the orbital distribution of incoming particles. In this study, we investigate the seasonal variation of micrometeoroid impacts on Saturn’s main rings caused by Saturn’s 26 . ° 7 obliquity. We simulate incoming interplanetary dust trajectories; calculate their impact locations, velocities, and mass fluxes; and evaluate the associated transfer of energy and angular momentum. We also model the impact-generated ejecta cloud and its transport around the ring system. The impact flux shows a seasonal redistribution between the northern and southern sides of the ring plane, while the total impact flux varies by only about 10% over one orbital cycle. The total impact-generated ejecta production rate is estimated to be ∼(1.9–3.4) × 10 ⁷ kg s ⁻¹ , and a fraction of ejecta grains larger than 1 μ m are transported inward and lost to Saturn’s atmosphere at rates of approximately 89–113 kg s ⁻¹ . These results suggest that seasonal micrometeoroid bombardment affects the spatial distribution of deposited dust, ejecta production, and ring–planet mass exchange, thereby providing important constraints for future mission observations of the dust environment around Saturn’s rings.",
