"abstract": "The flexural and moment curvature behaviour of hybrid lightweight rubberized concrete beams was examined using lightweight expanded clay aggregate, reinforced rubber aggregate and ground granulated blast furnace slag. M30 concrete mixes were prepared with 30% GGBS as cement replacement and partial replacement of natural coarse aggregate by LECA and reinforced rubber aggregate. The selected hybrid mix, containing 10% LECA, 10% reinforced rubber aggregate and 30% GGBS, developed a density of 1944 kg/m3 and a 28 day compressive strength of 34.10 MPa. Reinforced concrete beams were tested under four point bending to measure first crack load, ultimate load, deflection and average curvature response. First crack and ultimate loads ranged from 11.2 to 13.0 kN and 60.0 to 64.0 kN, respectively, and the hybrid beam reached an ultimate deflection of 5.20 mm. Experimental average ultimate curvature exceeded the theoretical curvature by 22.37 to 29.06%, showing stiffness degradation and higher curvature after cracking. A material sensitive moment curvature model was then developed using stiffness modification and nonlinear curvature correction terms. For the tested beam series, the calibrated model reproduced the average ultimate curvature with errors within ±0.3%, which represents calibration agreement and not independent prediction. A literature based trend comparison showed that the measured curvature increase agrees with the general response reported for lightweight aggregate concrete beams. Curvature based assessment reflected stiffness loss and deformation more clearly than moment capacity alone, and the calibrated formulation provides a basis for further studies on hybrid sustainable concrete beams.",
