Measurements of the branching fractions of \boldmath χcJ→Σ0Σ̅0η

Abstract

Using (2712.4±14.3)×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first observations of the decay χcJ(J=0,1,2) → Σ0Σ̅0η. The signal significances, after considering systematic uncertainties, are determined to be 7.2σ, 5.7σ, and 6.7σ for χ0, χc1, and χc2, respectively. The branching fractions are measured to be ℬ(χc0→Σ0Σ̅0η)=(9.7 ± 1.7 ± 0.8) × 10−5, ℬ(χc1→Σ0Σ̅0η)=(4.9 ± 1.1 ± 0.4) × 10−5, and ℬ(χc2→Σ0Σ̅0η)=(6.1 ± 1.2 ± 0.3) × 10−5, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. No significant structure in the Σ0Σ̅0,Σ0η,Σ̅0η mass distributions is observed under the current statistics.
