Abstract
Achieving high-efficiency spin transport at room temperature remains a central challenge in spintronics. Molecular single crystals are ideal candidates for addressing this challenge because their highly ordered lattices and uniform transport pathways intrinsically suppress spin scattering and enable long spin lifetimes. However, integrating these intrinsic advantages into practical devices has remained challenging, primarily because molecular single crystals are extremely fragile during device fabrication. Here, we design a molecular single-crystal system with uniform spin-transport pathways and suppressed spin-relaxation channels, resulting in a substantially enhanced room-temperature spin lifetime, as confirmed by both theoretical analysis and experimental characterizations. By applying a damage-free crystal-handling method with an optimized electrode-transfer technique, we fabricate high-quality single-crystal spintronic devices and achieve a spin-transport efficiency of 15.17% at room temperature, nearly twice the previous benchmark (∼8%). This work establishes a generalizable strategy for designing long-spin-lifetime molecular spintronic materials and demonstrates the practical viability of molecular single crystals as a platform for efficient room-temperature spin transport.
