Root systems and Minimal RG flows to c=1 CFTs
Abstract
We derive exact massless S-matrices from algebraic root-system geometry and derive thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equations that generate minimal renormalization group (RG) flows. We show how P. Dorey's geometric construction, originally developed for massive S-matrices, can be extended to massless cases and prove that these new S-matrices straightforwardly satisfy the bootstrap equations. We focus on minimal D_n coset CFTs, which are c=1 free-boson CFTs with compactification radius \sqrt{n/2}, and find their UV completions by analyzing the TBA.
