Multicriteria evaluation of scenarios of field crop production system, with a view to agro-ecological transition
Abstract
As part of the ANR-Pestipond research project, in phase 1 we assessed the risks of pesticide transfers in several catchment areas, including the Auradé catchment in south-west France (Gers). Optimisation of phytosanitary treatments and good environmental practices are not sufficient to reduce these risks. In phase 2, we modelled optimised conventional and organic farming system scenarios and assessed their economic and environmental performance using the ELECTRE III multi-criteria decision-support method. The organic farming systems showed the best performance, at farm level, thanks to profitable secondary crops (lentils, chickpeas). On a regional.
