Synthesis of a trisphenol alkyne, towards clickable tripods for graphene functionalization
Abstract
In the framework of a project aiming at improving the functionalization of graphene used in Single GrapheneField Effect Transistors (SGFET) biosensors, we have developed a synthetic route to access 4,4',4''-(prop-2-yne-1,1,1-triyl)triphenol which is a key intermediate that can be further functionalized with different pyrene feetleading to clickable tripods. An original method for deprotection of benzyl ethers has been used since theclassical hydrogenolysis method led to an undesired compound.
