Remarks on the Parameter Dependence of QCD2A
Abstract
Recently it was shown that there are only a few operators that contribute to the (very weak) Nc dependence of the spectrum of two-dimensional adjoint QCD. We provide numerical evidence that none of these operators is dominant. In other words, all operators are necessary to guarantee the faithful representation of the Hamiltonian, resulting in, for instance, exact degeneracies of certain multi-particle state masses. We provide a complete list of interactions between single- and multi-trace states, which differ by trace-number block, as expected from the Kutasov-Schwimmer universality. The completed list allows for a targeted deformation of the theory to render some masses Nc-invariant. Nonetheless, we argue that a small amount of Nc dependence of the theory is unavoidable. We also investigate the large constituent mass regime m2/g2YMNc≫ 1 of the theory at large Nc in the eLCQ approach. We find, among other things, that as the constituent mass grows, eigenstates get purer in parton number, in line with expectations.
