Extremal Rota-Baxter operators on matrix algebras

Abstract

We classify all Rota-Baxter operators of weight λ on Mn(F) over a field F of characteristic zero whose minimal polynomial has maximal degree and show that in both cases λ= 0 and λ≠ 0 such an operator is conjugate to exactly one operator.
