Time Emergence in Economics: Conceptual Transpositions from Quantum Systems
Abstract
This paper develops a formal model-theoretic framework for emergence by integrating criteria of irreducibility, complexity, valuation separability, and structural inclusion. Built upon a unified mathematical foundation centered on a general notion of transition matrix, we carry out conceptual transpositions from quantum mechanics to analyze how space, structure, and time emerge within economic systems. Crucially, this construction hinges on a rigorous distinction between proto-time and temporality seen as a measure. Finally, we apply our account to an economic thought-scenario, illustrating the theoretical interplay among these emergent conditions.
