Abstract

Genomics is widely used in the surveillance and investigation of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), with standard practice to deposit bacterial whole-genome sequence data in public archives to support research and public health. Here, we call for open sharing of matched phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility data alongside sequence data to support equitable data-driven development and validation of new technologies to address AMR, and highlight key principles and resources to facilitate such sharing.
