A Pilot Study of Linezolid for Early Syphilis Treatment

5 more authors

Abstract

In a study of oral linezolid among 18 patients with early syphilis, 15 showed adequate serological response by 6 months. Among 6 patients treated with benzathine penicillin G, 5 showed adequate serological response. There were no serious adverse events. Linezolid shows promise for the treatment of early syphilis.
