Superstring theory in AdS5× S5 background: half-BPS vertex operators
Abstract
In this paper, we construct all vertex operators associated with the gravity supermultiplet in the AdS5 × S5 background, relevant for worldsheet scattering amplitude computations, via global $PSU(2,2|4)$ transformations. Although one such operator was previously constructed in the pure spinor formalism using a special superspace parametrization, implementing the full global symmetries proved challenging due to the mixing of bosonic and fermionic coordinates. We resolve this issue by introducing a judicious sequence of reparametrizations that disentangle these coordinates. We then advance the formulation of superstring theory in this background by constructing the corresponding integrated vertex operators in both the pure spinor and the B-RNS-GSS formalisms.
