Radio Galaxies as UHECR Sources in Light of Recent Microquasar Results
Abstract
The recent discovery that microquasars operate as efficient particle accelerators brings back into focus the question as to whether their larger cousins, radio galaxies, also operate as efficient accelerators. We here discuss what we presently know about particle acceleration in radio galaxies, focusing particularly on the nearest such object, Centaurus A.
