Delta functions, a local coarea formula and marginal distributions
Abstract
We define multidimensional delta functions as generalized functions by pulling back the Dirac delta function, as well as products of such. We prove various formulas including a local version of the coarea formula and we use delta functions to compute marginal probability distributions on spheres.
