Entropically favored scalar hair on AdS black branes
Abstract
We construct neutral AdS5 black branes with source-free scalar hair that is entropically favored over the symmetric phase. A quadratic scalar--Gauss--Bonnet coupling destabilizes the thermal state while leaving the ultraviolet operator dimension fixed at Δ=3. The fully backreacted solutions require only a quadratic scalar potential. We describe how a neural-network search led to this simple model.
