Invisible dark-sector radiation: analytic resummation for dark photon searches
Abstract
We derive an analytic resummed description of the missing-mass spectrum in monophoton searches for invisible dark photons at electron--positron colliders. In a dark Abelian Higgs model with a light dark fermion, we construct the spectrum from scalar and fermionic real and virtual contributions without relying on a Monte Carlo shower implementation. Sudakov resummation method is used to deal with the collinear divergence. The analytic expressions make the dependence on the dark charges and the logarithmic structure explicit. A simplified reinterpretation of the BaBar monophoton search, accounting for its finite missing-mass resolution, shows that dark-sector radiation can modify the inferred upper limit on the kinetic-mixing parameter by πͺ(10%) in the benchmarks considered.
