Closed-form dyadic Green functions for transversely uniaxial bianisotropic medium with equal magnetoelectric scalars
Abstract
A transversely uniaxial bianisotropic medium with equal magnetoelectric scalars was conceived by Weiglhofer in 1994. Using the scalar factorization method, he concluded that the dyadic Green functions of this medium could not be found in closed form. That conclusion is incorrect. The essentials of the derivation are reproduced here, and closed-form expressions are given for all four dyadic Green functions of the unbounded medium, linking the electric and magnetic fields to electric and magnetic source current densities.
