The genome sequence of the Amphibious Bistort, Persicaria amphibia (L.) Delarbre (Caryophyllales: Polygonaceae).

  1. 1Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

Abstract

We present a genome assembly of Persicaria amphibia (Amphibious Bistort; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Caryophyllales; Polygonaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,825.68 megabases and 1,833.10 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (97.89%) was scaffolded into 48 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 397.0 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 159.39 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
