Abstract

Treatment approaches for pancreatic adenocarcinoma, an aggressive disease with poor prognosis, are evolving beyond cytotoxic chemotherapy. Recent advances in RAS targeting with small molecules are redefining therapeutic paradigms.

Treatment approaches for pancreatic adenocarcinoma, an aggressive disease with poor prognosis, are evolving beyond cytotoxic chemotherapy. In this Perspective, Samuel Soff and Eileen O'Reilly discuss recent breakthroughs and clinical trial results of RAS-targeting small molecule inhibitors, as well as the challenges of treatment resistance.
