The Acculturation-Deculturation Dialectic at the Heart of ICT Teacher Training Programs

Abstract

Based on a survey regarding the implementation of the C2I2e (Computer and Internet Certificate, Level 2 for Teachers) among those involved in teacher training, we were able to identify a number of elements that could be part of a new professional culture for teachers: the digital professional culture. A dialectic of acculturation and deculturation thus emerges as a key factor in enabling teachers to embrace this culture.
