High-order concentric hopfions in a helimagnet
Abstract
Magnetic hopfions are three-dimensional topological solitons: ``knots'' in the vector field of magnetization of magnetically ordered materials, which are a key element of the three-dimensional spintronics emerging today. In this work, a simple analytical model for a new type of magnetic hopfions --- ``concentric'' ones --- is constructed and solved. Their size and equilibrium energy are estimated, their stability region on the magnetic phase diagram of a helimagnet is mapped out, and the requirements for materials admitting equilibrium concentric hopfions with high Hopf index on a uniformly magnetized background are determined.
