Abstract

Herein, we present a method for generating chlorine dioxide radical Alt-text is not available for this image. under solvent-free conditions by ball milling sodium chlorite with silica gel. The mechanochemical formation of Alt-text is not available for this image. was supported by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and ESR measurements. The in situ-generated Alt-text is not available for this image. was directly used for the selective monooxygenation of dibenzothiophenes, including a poorly soluble π-extended benzothiophene derivative. This method provides a practical solvent-free platform for Alt-text is not available for this image.-mediated oxygenation of poorly soluble organosulfur compounds.
