SEAC from EAC modulo Schanuel: reduction to algebraic exponentials
Abstract
We consider the problem of reducing Zilber's pseudo-exponentiation conjecture to mere exponential-algebraic closedness, assuming Schanuel's conjecture but not Zilber-Pink. Generalising work of Mantova, we show that it would suffice to show that perfectly rotund varieties have non-dense intersection with finitely generated subgroups of the graph of exponentiation in which the exponentials live in a number field.
