Abstract
Lorlatinib is a third-generation anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)/ROS1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that has been shown to have high efficacy in the first line setting for treatment of advanced ALK-rearranged non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, some adverse events have been described that require proper follow-up and management to obtain the maximum benefit from treatment and minimize risk to the patient. These include dyslipidemia and weight gain, conditions that in Latin America have a high prevalence in the general population, which coupled with limitations in timely access to specialized care, could influence both manifestation and management. The objective of this consensus is to provide recommendations tailored to our real-world setting that will optimize the monitoring and early management of toxicities in patients treated with lorlatinib in Latin America.
